Manuscript Preparation

  • You will be asked to upload at least 2 documents when you submit a manuscript—a title page and a main document.
  • The title page should include (1) the title; (2) the authors' names, degrees, affiliations, and contact information (names, addresses, e-mail addresses, and phone numbers); (3) the authors' disclosure or conflict of interest information; and (4) grants and other acknowledgments.
  • The main document should not include the authors' names or institutions anywhere on the manuscript, because this will be used for blind peer review. The main document should include the (1) title, (2) abstract, (3) keywords, (4) text, (5) references, (6) tables and table captions, and (7) figures (8) figure captions.
  • Please do not include author names on any pages of the manuscript, because it will be sent out for blind peer review.

Manuscript organization:

  • The manuscript should be submitted in Microsoft Word (use Single-spacing).
  • Arrange the manuscript with the following sections and begin each section on a separate page: (1) title page, (2) abstract(100-300 word abstract ), (3) 3-5 keywords, (4) text, (5) acknowledgments, (6) references, (7) glossary (if needed), (8) tables and table captions (9) figures captions .
  • Authors who have a conflict of interest or have received financial support should disclose this support on the title page of the article or on a separate sheet. If no conflict exists, please state that “no conflict of interest is declared.”

  • Abbreviated terms are spelled out at first use and followed with the abbreviation in parentheses.

    Figure and table requirement:
  • All figures or photographs must be submitted as jpg or tif files with distinct characters and symbols at 500 dpi (dots per inch). Test your figures by printing them from a personal computer. The online version should look relatively similar to the personal-printer copy. Tables and equations should be in an editable rather than image version. Tables must be edited with Word/Excel. Equations must be edited with Equation Editor. Figures, tables and equations should be numbered and cited as Figure 1, Figure 2, Figure 3, etc. in sequence.
